 I fell in love with the limitless possibilities of people with disabilities. I am passionate about their success and assisting them to live as independently as possible with the skills they are taught. I know from experience that with guided training, they will become successful citizens in their community.   This passion for helping people with disabilities and their families lead me to begin Focus on Freedom LLC in 2019. 

My career began while in college working as an in-home therapist for children with autism. Through this experience I learned the value of understanding a family's perspective and their desires when developing life-long independent living skills for their child or care dependent adult with disabilities. 

While continuing my work as an in-home therapist, I also began my career in teaching.  Throughout this journey, I have worked with  children with significant disabilities across all spectrums.  This dual-path journey has taught me valuable skills that our children and care dependent adults with significant disabilities need for life-long success.  

Focus on Freedom LLC provides support and guidance for people ages 8 through adulthood with daily living skills, respite care and discovery and career training.  We work with people with disabilities within their homes and local communities.   Our focus is to build life skills and confidence for people with disabilities so they can live as independently as possible.  We work on skills within the home such as cleaning, hygiene, laundry, cooking and many more.  Within the community, we focus on shopping, making appointments, public transportation, and more.  Through one on one training, we focus on the direct skill in the location where the individual will use the skill  - for example, at home or in out in the community.  Developing our purpose together -
