What is Foundations in Caregiving?

Foundations in Caregiving is an introductory, on-demand course designed for parents and other unpaid caregivers, allowing you to complete it at your convenience! The program offers valuable resources and information on a range of topics related to caring for a loved one with disabilities. If you have questions as you progress through the course, you can simply reach out via email or schedule a meeting to dive deeper into specific topics.

Make Meaningful Impact in Your Home Now

We understand that as a caregiver, you often feel overwhelmed and unprepared to support your loved one with disabilities.

Our course, created by Marla Kopecky Penney, offers the support you need when you feel stuck or have been waiting for various Children’s Long-Term Support (CLTS) programs.

This course includes 6 modules with 3 sessions per module. At the end, you’ll complete a form and have a review meeting with us and, if possible, your caseworker.

If you’re in Winnebago or Outagamie County and are part of the CLTS waiver program, contact your caseworker to enroll today. We look forward to supporting you on your journey!

“Foundations in Caregiving is a course designed to equip caregivers with the resources and tools they need to make small changes to help their loved one make progress and thrive. It is a great tool for any caregiver, but especially those on CLTS waiting lists who need help now!”
